Simi has gained extensive knowledge working in various clinical settings including the NHS, thus is in demand for her expertise. She consults with patients from all parts of the world who visit her at The Hale and other locations in Buckinghamshire.
She has been featured as an expert on various media platforms including Forbes and television documentaries. Her latest venture is being part of the expert team in DNA Journeys on ITV working with various celebrities and their medical ancestry.
Continuing with her father’s legacy, Simi is a senior lecturer for the pioneering British Institute of Marmapuncture, currently qualifying the worlds very first Marmapuncturists, founded by her father. She also sits on the executive committee for the British Ayurvedic Medical Council.
Simi grew up in the UK and travelled to Sri Lanka to be trained by the late Professor Anton Jayasuriya who was the worlds first leading authority on acupuncture and Ayurveda. Her father was the late professor’s first student and Simi was his last student shortly before he passed.
Simi continued her learning and qualified at prominent UK institutions in Osteopathic Medicine, Ayurveda, Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture.
Known to be an intuitive practitioner, Simi leads her practice with a balance of science, psychology & the many truths and wisdoms originating from the East. As a life long practicing Buddhist, she often invites an in depth discussion during her sessions using breath work, mindfulness and meditation as tools to assist recovery and growth.
Simi welcomes all those seeking to empower themselves through symptomatic sign posts of the human mind and body and gently guides her patients through compassion, insight and conscious awareness.
Besides her passion for her patients, Simi began a non profit in 2016 with grassroots charities in Sri Lanka, which aim to prevent child abuse. She is the author of the children’s book Sully’s Glow and is a exhibited mixed media artist. Proceeds from her publications go towards the goals of RuRi Foundation.
