What is medical acupuncture?
Medical acupuncture is a powerful therapy which can relieve the symptoms of physical and psychological conditions. It is a modern adaptation of the ancient Chinese practice of acupuncture. It is defined as a therapeutic technique that involves the insertion of fine needles into certain points across the body to encourage healing and pain relief. Electroacupuncture is an acupuncture technique that applies small electrical currents to needles that have been inserted at specific points on the body. It can be used to treat the same variety of health conditions that regular acupuncture treats, and for conditions that do not respond to conventional acupuncture.
